OpenArt Billing Complaint — Wacky Berry Kids Production Blocked
This page documents a billing dispute with OpenArt (openart.ai) that is blocking Wacky Berry Kids video production.
I am a paying OpenArt Starter subscriber using the platform to create content for my children's brand, Wacky Berry Kids. This page will remain published until OpenArt responds and provides a full reimbursement of wasted credits.
Timeline
Oct 2, 2026 — Subscribed to OpenArt Starter (~4,000 credits/month).
Oct 9, 2026 — Emailed support@openart.ai about lost coins and unclear pricing. No reply received.
Oct 16, 2026 — Requested a short video ("Friday Freeze Dance," 9:16). System generated a still image instead of the video. Charged ~1,000 credits for the image. Told I'd need to pay again for the video I originally requested.
Oct 16, 2026, 8:27 AM ET — Sent FINAL NOTICE email (below). Gave 24 hours to: refund the credits, generate the video free, and answer the Oct 9 email.
Oct 17, 2026, 8:27 AM ET — Deadline passed. Still no reply.
Oct 19, 2026 — This page published. Review posted to Google and Trustpilot.
Final Notice Email (Oct 16, 2026)
I'm writing about a repeated billing problem with my account.
On October 16, 2026, I requested a video generation (Scene 1, "Friday Freeze Dance," 9:16). Your system generated a still image instead — not what I asked for. Credits were consumed for the image. When I pointed out the error, I was told I'd need to pay again (1,000 credits) for the video I originally requested.
This is the second time this has happened — your system makes an error, consumes my credits, and then asks me for more credits to get what I asked for in the first place.
I already emailed support@openart.ai on October 9, 2026 about a prior incident. I have received no response in over a week. Do not pretend that email was not received.
I am requesting:
1. A full refund of credits consumed for the incorrect image generation on October 16.
2. The video I originally requested, generated at no additional charge.
3. A response to my October 9 email.
You have 24 hours from this email to resolve this. I will not wait beyond that.
If this is not resolved within 24 hours, I will post the full conversation transcript — with dates and timestamps — publicly on the internet, including Google reviews and every platform where OpenArt advertises. I see your ads constantly, and I will respond to each one.
Please understand: even this letter will be attached to everything I post.
I'm giving you this chance to resolve it before I go public.
I have the full conversation transcript and can provide screenshots on request.
AI Inconsistency
Beyond the billing errors, the AI itself is very inconsistent. I requested a video and received a still image — not a minor variation, a completely different output type. When the system makes this kind of error, the customer pays for it in wasted credits, then is asked to pay again for what was originally requested. I feel I got the bad end of the deal: charged for the AI's mistake, then charged again to fix it.
What I'm Asking For
1. Full reimbursement of ~1,000 credits wasted on the incorrect image.
2. The video originally requested, generated at no charge.
3. A response to the October 9 support email.
This page and all reviews will remain published until OpenArt responds and makes this right.
